About WeHub Communities CIC
We Hub Communities CIC is a proudly inclusive organisation supporting young people, families and seniors across Bristol and the South West. We listen, learn, and respond to challenges often overlooked by mainstream services, such as school exclusion, gang involvement, and serious youth violence, starting with strengthening the foundations, ensuring that every young person and family has the support they deserve.
Our mission is simple yet transformative: to provide guidance, opportunity, and second chances by challenging stigmas and taboos. Through EQUITY we ensure resources and opportunities reach those who need them most, from mentoring programmes for young people at risk to workshops that equip parents with the skills to navigate complex education and criminal justice processes. Through DIVERSITY, we celebrate and uplift all identities, cultures, and experiences, ensuring our services reflect the communities we serve. Through INCLUSION, we create safe, accessible spaces for dialogue where everyone, young people, parents, and carers, can be heard, valued, and empowered.
One of our core goals is the prevention of crime, starting with young people and extending to parents and carers. We aim to create spaces for honest, constructive and educational talks equipping families with the knowledge, tools, and support to build safer, stronger communities. Our team brings experience in the field of law, but more importantly, we have grown up in these communities. We know many of the young people and families we work with personally. We have seen firsthand how some are drawn into crime and the obstacles they face. Because we have witnessed this with our own eyes, we are uniquely positioned to intervene early, guide youth toward positive pathways, and prevent them from entering the criminal justice system.
Our RISE programme, which stands for Racial Justice, Inclusion, Solidarity, and Equality, focuses on empowering families in Bristol. Through RISE, we mentor young people, provide safe spaces for discussion, offer creative and educational opportunities, and work directly with the community to tackle local challenges. Our slogan, “Together We Rise,” reflects our commitment to shared growth, collaboration, and resilience.
Meanwhile, the Bristol Parent and Carers Association (BPACA) supports parents and carers by raising awareness, fostering open discussion, and co-creating practical solutions. By involving parents and carers in decision-making, BPACA strengthens families, builds confidence in accessing services, and ensures that the voices of those closest to young people are central to drive community change.
WeHub Communities CIC together with parents, carers, and community leaders, including solicitors, poets, educators, and reformed youth mentors, is reshaping futures. Guided by our values of Racial Justice, Inclusion, Solidarity, Equality, and a lived commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, we walk alongside families, unlocking potential through guidance, resilience, and access more opportunities.
Theory of Change
Context / Problem:
Young people in Bristol face systemic barriers including school exclusion, drug use. gang involvement, youth violence, and limited access to supportive role models. - Strengthening parent/carer capacity to advocate and guide their children.
- Ensuring parental voices shape community interventions and policies.
